Welcome!
This blog is devoted to sharing the pages of my sketchbook as I travel, going to places such as China, India, Vietnam, Australia, Mexico, Senegal, Mali and more…
Much of what you see here was drawn because I could take the time, many experiences were not recorded because of their intrinsic transience. Such is the reality of a travel journal.
I’m not always on the road, I currently run my own design business out of Seattle, and travel when I have saved enough money and can afford to get away! Subscribe to my blog and I’ll keep you posted with any new drawings.
I hope that my sketches give viewers an alternate perspective of these places- something different from the usual travel photography. Enjoy!
Erin

Erin,
You really got it!! Vietnam–it all seems so raw and real.
The tenacity of life there, the power of spirit, the adolescence of motorbikes and how it all works. I loved your drawings and commentary. I want to go back again.
Wonderful images and short story snippets Erin; good for you!
I’d like to talk with you when you return about what you use to scan your watercolors, and whether the sensitivity (or lack thereof) of the scanner affects your drawings, in that any subtle detail or color that would be left out in the scanning isn’t included in the first place.
thanks for your sharing your travels!
Hey Erin,
I was searching for some some images of Varanasi ghats and instantly got stuck on your webpage. I hail from Varanasi and can vouch for the way you have kept things beautifully simple yet so authentic. Loved the way you have descried it too. I too sketch and paint and can relate a lot to this passion of yours. Just one month back, I went for Europe trip and in the midst of sketching/painting few of the experienced scenes close to my heart. Must admit, got a whole new perspective after visiting this site. Great going, keep posting!!
Cheers,
Kirti
Hi Kirti,
